Melbourne, Australia.
What is your favourite room at home?
Our sunbathed living space.
Any must-read books?
I am currently reading and being inspired by “The Creative Act: A Way of Being “ by Rick Rubin. My all-time favourite I read years ago was ‘Grace” the Grace Coddington Story, what an amazing visual mind that woman has.
Where do you like to eat out?
Oh, too many to narrow down locally!! Bai De Vino, Citta, Hotel Gitane and not to forget Il Baccaro.
What is on your playlist?
My playlist is varies depending on where I am. For the studio, it's Cruisy, Rufus De Sol, Jungle and sometimes even cringe-worthy late 80’s tracks. At home with two adult sons, it ranges from Chet Faker to Techno to House. I guess you could say my playlist is like all sorts.
An up-and-coming designer to watch?
Amboise Maggier for Pretziada. I like the sculptured clawed foot side table, serious whimsey.
Some of the designers or movements that inspire you?
I love shape, large proportions and sculptural formation, although I live in a heritage home that I adore I am drawn to Modernism. Luis Barragan’s architecture is bold and carefully plays with light creating dimension. Ricardo Legorreta’s side gallery is an amazing space to visit and standing under an Annish Kapoor sculpture left me floating.
"Luis Barragan’s architecture is bold and carefully plays with light creating dimension."

RIDA identifies, embodies, and acknowledges our industry practice through formal registration. RIDA aims to inform the consumer, protect and outline a strong future for Interior Designers in Australia.
