One half of Azua Moline, Martin Azua was born in Basque Country in 1965. He graduated from the University of Barcelona in Fine Arts, specialising in design. He also holds a Post-graduate qualification in Architecture and Design of Ephemeral Installations of the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya.
He now lives in Barcelona where he combines his work as a designer with teaching at the Elisava Schol of Design. He currently collaborates as a designer with a variety of companies and insitutions, while at the same time carrying out experimental and research works that have been shown both in individual and group exhibitions. He designed the medals for the Barcelona World Swimming Championships in 2003 and was responsible for packaging Madrid's bid for the the 2012 Olympics.
Gerard Moline was born in Barcelona in 1977. He graduated with an Industrial Design Degree from Elisava School of Design. He currently works as a designer from his own studio; Estudio Moline and is the co-founder of Estudio Azua Moline together with Martin Ruiz de Azua. He colloborates with a variety of companies and institutions, and his experimental design works have appeared in various exhibitions and publications.
