Antropus Armchair

Antropus Armchair

DESIGNED BY Marco Zanuso
FOR Cassina

Antropus was created during the 1940's by Marco Zanuso for a play performed at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan. Fully upholstered in foam rubber at the time, this material was considered highly innovative.

The current revised version features polyurethane foam, creating an oversized and comfortable seat.

INFO

The present-day version of this chair features polyurethane foam CFC free. This lends itself to creating a oversized and comfortable seat and back-rest that fit snugly into the slender, curving profile of the side panels. Cassina is making this model available in the original iconic red fabric upholstery.
