Binta Armchair

designed by Philippe Bestenheider
for Moroso

Like a baobab Binta is still firmly on the ground, supported by feet and form recall the majestic African tree, compact, solid, but at the same time gently balanced in the disproportion between the circumference of the trunk and the extension of the branches.

The coating, tribute to african wax print – traditional fabrics worn by African women – enhances the shapes of the chair, the sets, the highlights through an elegant play of contrasting colors and graphics alternating pattern.
