Galaxy Pendant
DESIGNED BY Charles and Ray Eames
FOR Cassina
Designed in the late 1940s, a product of the genius of Charles and Ray Eames, created by assembling components from the automotive industry to produce an enchanting explosion of light.
For the first time ever, Cassina puts this masterpiece into production. Originally created for "An Exhibition for Modern Living" at the Detroit Institute of Arts in 1949, it was never marketed, due to technological limitations of the industry at the time.
Galaxy is composed of a centre sphere that illuminates the surrounding area like the stars in a galaxy.
