FOR Cassina
Virgil Abloh and Cassina design a project that explores the implications of modularity in contemporary interior design. Blocks in two sizes that can stand alone or be combined to create design accessories, from a seat to a table-top surface.
Each textured block has a rigid almost industrial appearance but is surprisingly soft, creating the perfect balance for it to be used both as a seat and supporting surface. A pouf, a bench, a table, articulated compositions can be created by stacking two pieces at a time thanks to a specific connecting module that allows its contrasting orange cylindrical feet to slot into the top of the below unit.

Internal core in recycled wood; upholstery in polyurethane, with a percentage of polyols deriving from biological sources, coated with painted
elastomer;
feet in plastic hytrel with steel threaded inserts; connecting module in powder-coated aluminum sheet plate with steel threaded inserts.
