A sculpted, almost primitive table, this icon of formal purity was first designed in 1985 by Lella and Massimo Vignelli and has now been revisited by Poltrona Frau. 

Mesa table combines the two simple geometric shapes of a circle and a cone. 

Poltrona Frau has created a number of new versions of the original table, calling them, fittingly, Mesa Due.

CONSTRUCTION

Top is made from MDF in a wenge stained ash wood veneer. There are two versions of the base: Pietra Serena stone or steel covered in Cuoio Saddle Extra leather with contrast stitching and Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System with tone-on-tone stitching

Lella & Massimo Vignelli

Lella Vignelli was born in Udine and graduated in architecture in Venice. Massimo Vignelli was born in Milan in 1931 and studied architecture in Milan and Venice.
